Aesthetic and Philosophical Meanings of Indigenous Asante Kente

Indigenous Ghanaian woven fabrics remain traditional cultural pieces, highlighting the value and heritage of indigenes in communities. These are embedded with historical symbolic connotations that help people to relate effectively know their past. Recent studies have identified tools, materials new innovations design by weavers. This study seeks highlight aesthetics philosophical indigenous Asante Kente which highly cherished indigenes. As a qualitative research, it adopts narrative research interpret empirical information gathered from master weavers opinion leaders two weaving communities (Bonwire Adanwomase) Ashanti Region Ghana.
